STRAIGHT FROM THE FIELD
Typical scenarios for advisory services
Working with ERP and CRM systems is rarely linear. One day it’s a fix, the next a new requirement, or a country-specific issue. Many organizations handle a lot internally, but still reach limits in certain areas.
That’s exactly where our advisory services come in. You get reliable support without moving into a full outsourcing or managed service model. We add expertise to your team and support your employees and existing partners in resolving technical issues.
Do any of these situations sound familiar?
We’re stuck and need someone to untangle the issue.
Your internal IT team is facing a specific challenge in your ERP or CRM solution and can’t move forward alone. We provide direct, pragmatic support to get things back on track.
It works… somehow. Most of the time. But no one wants to touch it anymore.
Your system is running, but there are legacy issues: workarounds, historical configurations, brittle integrations. We bring structure without disrupting ongoing operations.
We built something, but it doesn’t really fit our sales process.
Your business teams realize the system no longer reflects how they actually work. Our experts analyse the setup, rethink processes, and align the technical solution accordingly.
Our partner is great, but they don’t cover this module.
You have a strong solution partner, but specific expertise is missing – for example, in Project Operations, Finance, or Power Platform. In this case, we simply provide additional solutions and expertise.
We want to stay in control, but have a safety net.
Your team wants to remain in charge but needs occasional expert input. We support you with new decisions, architecture topics, and time-critical implementations.

Your questions. Our answers.
What kind of support does sa.global offer (e.g. advisory, technical support, consulting)?
sa.global’s advisory services provide targeted assistance across the entire lifecycle of your ERP and CRM solutions. This includes troubleshooting and optimization in day-to-day operations, conceptual and architectural consulting, as well as support for enhancements, implementation, and enablement.
In addition, we offer advisory services and sparring to help you prepare decisions from a functional, technical, and organizational perspective. The scope and focus are always tailored to your specific needs.
Are advisory services based on predefined packages, or is it tailored individually?
sa.global’s advisory services are not a standardized product, but rather a flexible, tailored support model. There is a basic structure, but no rigid service packages.
To ensure planning reliability, we provide a standardized formal framework with predefined elements:
- Role-based approach with clearly defined skill profiles (e.g. Solution Architect, Functional Consultant, Technical Consultant)
- Plannable time quotas, typically monthly hour packages (e.g. 8, 16, or 32 hours), allowing cost control and ensuring availability
- Effort-based billing, without SLAs, fixed packages, or long-term operational commitments – billing is based on actual hours worked.
What is individually tailored and creates the actual value of this model are the following components, which go beyond the formal framework:
- The content of the advisory services is always client-specific, and you decide on the thematic focus yourself. Examples:
- Architecture and design reviews
- Billing and invoicing scenarios
- Process or solution assessments
- Preparation of decisions or rollouts
- Way of working:
- Ad-hoc support for specific questions
- Workshops, reviews, and decision templates
- Responsibility model:
- sa.global advises and supports.
- sa.global does not take operational responsibility.
- Ownership remains with you as the customer.
What costs should we expect? Is there a minimum contract term?
Costs depend on the selected support model, primarily on the roles required and the agreed monthly volume of hours.
Contract terms are generally flexible. In practice, many customers start with a minimum duration of six months, with one year being a common setup.
In which countries do you provide expertise? How international is your setup?
sa.global operates in 25 countries across six continents and supports multinational rollouts worldwide.
In addition to our core markets, we deliver projects and support in over 80 countries and can flexibly support organizations beyond that footprint.
What is the difference between advisory services and Managed Services?
The difference in these service offerings lies not in the expertise, but in the responsibility and operating model.
sa.global’s advisory services offer targeted assistance on demand, with a strong emphasis on the customer’s own responsibility. The features of this model:
- Ad hoc consulting and expert support
- Focus on specific issues or sub-areas (e.g., architecture, modules/functionalities, reviews)
- Support for:
- Solution design & architecture
- Evaluation of options
- Concepts, best practices, recommendations
- sa.global assumes no operational responsibility.
- You remain responsible for:
- System stability
- Ticket handling
- Prioritization & operations
sa.global’s managed services are a structured service model for day-to-day operations with the following features:
- sa.global takes operational responsibility for defined areas
- You have a dedicated Service Delivery Manager
- Clearly defined SLAs, escalation paths, and governance processes
- Includes ongoing operations: ticket management (L2/L3), monitoring, stabilization, updates, and coordination with Microsoft and other partners
Which systems are covered by advisory services?
sa.global’s advisory services focus on ERP and CRM environments based on Microsoft Dynamics 365. This includes all Dynamics 365 modules as well as related technologies such as the Power Platform.
Existing integrations, reports, workflows, and country-specific requirements are also covered. We also advise on potential add-ons using automation and AI, including Microsoft Copilot.
The goal is to support you with specific questions and help you develop your existing Dynamics 365 setup in a targeted and pragmatic way.
How does the booking process work? Are there fixed packages and quotas, or is billing based on actual usage? Are there minimum contract terms?
Advisory services are not based on rigid packages but on a flexible model. Typically, you book monthly hour quotas for defined roles (e.g. architect or consultant), which are billed based on actual usage. There are no SLAs and no traditional operating model.
Contract duration is flexible. Many customers start with six months or choose a one-year setup.
How quickly can we get started? What does day-to-day collaboration look like?
Onboarding into advisory services is usually possible at short notice, as no complex setup or long preparation phases are required.
Collaboration is flexible and demand-driven: from ad-hoc support for specific issues to sparring with internal teams, as well as workshops and reviews.
You define the priorities and focus areas. sa.global advises and supports you, while you retain technical and operational responsibility.
How does sa.global work with our existing implementation partner?
sa.global can provide advisory services in addition to existing agreements with your implementation partner or with a managed services provider. We work with you and your existing partner to determine who is responsible for which countries, systems, and environments – without any overlap or conflicts of interest.
What resources or roles are typically available (architects, consultants)?
Advisory services typically involve Solution Architects and Consultants.
Solution Architects focus on overall solution design and architecture. They define technical guidelines and ensure that the solution is sustainable in the long term. They are frequently involved in strategic initiatives – such as concept development, decision-making, or complex problem-solving – and ensure alignment with your business goals.
Consultants handle the concrete implementation within their respective areas of expertise. A distinction is made between Functional Consultants (requirements analysis, process and configuration design, functional testing) and Technical Consultants (customization, development, integrations, technical support). This ensures that design and implementation are effectively integrated.
